         Story of A Girl

"What is the cost of this shoe?", a man asked to the shopkeeper. 100 shopkeeper replied. The man started counting money 5, 10, 60, 80, 90.. He didn't get any other notes in his pocket. He took out his jacket and shaked, he could listen the sound of  some coins. He started counting the coins 1....5. Now, his all pockets were empty and he didn't have any more money. He said shopkeeper that he only had 95. Shopkeeper said him to bring 5 more rupees to get that shoes. The man requested him to give the shoes in 95 as his daughter had asked him to bring the shoes and he had no more money. But shopkeeper refused. After seeing tears on that man's eyes he remembered his own daughter and thought to help that man. He asked him to carry some materials of his shop weighting 100 kg from 5 km. That man did that and the shopkeeper gave him that pair of shoes in 95. The man thanked the shopkeeper and returned to his village.

He climbed a steep hill which was covered by forests listening beautiful songs of different types of birds. Although he had walked continuously  for 2 hours he wasn't feeling tired. His mind and heart was so happy and satisfied imagining her daughter's smile when she would get that shoes. He was so excited to give that shoes to her daughter so he was walking so fast without feeling tired. After walking for 3 hours he reached his village. That was  beautiful village at the top of hill and nearby he can listen the sound of the river.  The village also had so pleasant as well as fresh air. His village was free from pollution and wicked people. Everyone were so helpful and had harmonious relationship. He felt energized after reaching his village and drank some water from the tap near a peepal tree.

His daughter who was eating mangoes sitting in mango tree climbed down slowly and ran towards her father suddenly after seeing him. " Baba taste his mango it's getting sweet", He smiled and took that mango which was half eaten by her daughter. Then her daughter asked her about the shoes. She took that shoes and screamed with happiness. She wore that shoes. She was looking so beautiful and the shoes exactly fitted her cute little feet. She ran to show her new shoes to her friends.

The little girl's name was Shusmita and she only had her father in her family. Her mother had passed away when she was 2 years old by a viral infection. She is now 10 years old. Her father used to love her a lot and she also used to love her father the most. She used to study in nearby school. She was so good in studying and always wanted to become a doctor and save lives of people working in her own village so that no more Shusmita would loose her mother because of health related issues. She kept on studying well working hard and the time kept on passing.

Today is the day of  result  of SLC examination. Many people were gathered in a ground and listening to a radio. From their village Shusmita got first division. Everyone were so happy including Shusmita, her father and her teachers. They then started researching what they should read for being a doctor because everyone in the village wanted Shusmita to be  doctor.

After few days they saw a new middle aged woman in their village. She seemed to be educated so they talked about Shusmita and her desire to be a doctor. She said, "I know everything about being doctor let me meet Shusmita first." She went to Shusmita's house and met her and her father. She said Shusmita should go to city to study doctor. Then Shusmita refused because she was never ready to leave her father. But her father said her that he would wait for her and to continue her study was so important that time. Also, that woman added that she mayn't get that chance again in her future so told them to think properly. After so much of request by his father she decided to go with that woman.

Next day in early morning she did some packing and got ready to go with  that woman. Her father gave her 100 rupees which he had saved for her. She took the money hugged her father and cried. She looked around her village made her eyes full of tears and went with that woman.

When she reached city that woman took her to a hostel like place. There were so many other girls of her age. But they all were crying so she got little scared and asked them. They said they had been brought from the village locked in that house since they were brought.

Suddenly a woman came to that room with a short dress. Everyone were so scared she didn't know what was happening. That woman called a girl from that room and said her to wear that dress. She cried and took that dress. Then she asked another girl why was she crying. She also started crying and said they were being used  for sexual activites there. She said some middle aged men would come and choose a girl from them and fulfilled their sexual desire. Shusmita who had gone to city for being a doctor is now forced to be a prostitute. She cries everyday missing her father and her beautiful village. She remembers her dream of being doctor and drinks her tears. She dies every time when a giant body falls above her.

She is alive physically but had died many times inside........

Her father and villagers are still waiting for her to come to village being a doctor....

spread love❤
